What is the Rapid City Mom Prom?

The Rapid City Mom Prom is a ladies night out for charity. It is a fun night for all women 18 and older to relive their “glory days” or make new memories with friends. Be prepared for lots of laughs and to dance the night away all while helping to raise money for our local charities!

What kind of food and drink will be provided at the event?

We offer an assortment of tempting appetizers along with coffee, water or tea. Staff will be on hand at the cash bars or in the lounge to serve up your favorite cocktails.

Is this an annual event?

Yes, the Rapid City Mom Prom was first held in May, 2011. With your support we plan to continue for many years to come.

What should I wear?

This is your night to go all out and wear a prom dress of your choice. Whether it has been sitting in your closet for awhile or you want to go out shopping with the girls for a new one, its your night to feel as girly or as goofy as you want!:)

Do I have to be a mom to attend?

No! It is intended to be ladies only, not moms only.

1st Annual Rapid City Mom Prom!

Our first mom prom benefited Love, INC of the Black Hills and Working Against Violence Inc (WAVI).  We had over 200 women in attendance! Between ticket sales and silent auction we raised a combined $5,000 for local charities.

Some of our monetary and in-kind sponsors included:
Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn; SHE 106.3; Tech4Eleven; Project Church; Assurant; Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial; Black Hills Woman Magazine; Monument Plastic Surgery; and Dr. Brian Criss
DJ Service was provided by RA Entertainment, photography by Lisa M Johnson, Crissy and Nikki from SHE 106.3 performed as MCs, ice sculpture provided by The Icehouse Inc, and Victoria’s Garden provided flowers presented to attendees.

We also had an impressive amount of silent auction donations from many local companies and individuals. Some of the contributing companies were:
